I have received and installed the customization you did for Hope International
that prints our logo on statements as well as some other modifications to the
statement format for certain types of accounts. I must tell you how pleased I
am with the results.
During my many years in the business world, I have had similar services performed
by other companies, but never have I had such expedient and successful results.
Because of my previous experience, I expected that there would be several attempts
to obtain the desired result. And usually the most significant problem is simply
getting the modification installed and operating. However, I was able to follow
the clear instructions you provided and print statements on the very first try.
In fact, your modification arrived the day before we were to run statements. If
it had not worked properly, we would have quickly gotten behind in our work schedule.
But...all my worrying was for naught!

I know this is late in coming to you, but I want to take this opportunity to tell the
success story that we have experienced using your "Bill of Materials" software enhancement
to Reporting to the MAX including Point of Sale and Non-profit Versions.
As you know we are a manufacturer of hydraulic pumps and motors. As the economy has changed
so has the requirements for shorter and shorter lead times for our customers. Where, in the past,
they would order large quantities of a single product, now, what we have is short runs, sometimes
just one pump at a time.
The problem was that we could not come up with a way of taking all of the parts out of inventory
and placing them in a cost-of-goods file fast enough. With our product line the possibility of
part numbers for our pumps is literally in the millions of combinations. More Important, every
unit has to have its own unique part number and its own cost of goods.
With your system being able to handle multiple levels of BOMs we have reduced our BOMs for any
pump or motor down to 8 or 9 entries. These are BOMs made up of many different BOMs. What is
really great is that we are able to update the cost of the unit at the time we make up a new
order so that all of our costs are real time, not LIFO or FIFO.
We looked for a long time for such a system but because we are a small manufacturer we could not
afford the $25,000 to $50,000 a similar system would cost. And with some of those other systems
we would have been locked into proprietary hardware. We were familiar with Reporting to the MAX from
the DOS days and could afford to upgrade to the windows version - but CMS did not offer what we
needed. With your enhancements we have everything we need.
You have done a great job and we would be happy to tell the world about it!
